Practice

If you spend energy building something, it should be special.

Design Professionals have the responsibility to guide design choices and these choices affect nearly everything we experience daily. Unfortunately, these choices often lead to creations that harm nature, humans and spirit. Metaphystations, however, believes it is imperative for design choices to benefit natural, social and spiritual systems.

Our mission is to help propagate spaces that support healing in its broadest sense. To do this, our practice focuses on the virtuous things that matter to you most so that your creations can benefit them as much as possible.

Our practice depends on Meaning, Systems Thinking, Care, and Collaboration.

Meaning

Creating something goes beyond making it physical — and its effects often outlast. Start with identifying what is meaningful to you so that you can make decisions that support your valuesIf you are investing your time, energy, and money into a project, then it should truly be as special and beneficial as you can make possible.

Systems Thinking

Call it ‘regenerative’, ‘sustainable’, ‘green’, ‘climate change mitigation’, ‘eco’, or ‘the way our ancestors always did things’. What matters is making creative choices that support and enhance beneficial systems and their interrelationships — be they natural, social, or spiritual.

Care

Knowing that these projects are often bigger than us, we care deeply about the people and spaces that we support. With a Professional Engineering core, we also have an ethical responsibility to maintain a high standard of care in our work. We are personally accountable for the technical information that we communicate to you.

Collaboration

These projects are bigger than us so getting them right depends on learning from each other and working openly together.
